Not Porsche’s typical video, this youtube special uses today’s multimedia technology to explain the history of the 911 and how it all comes together to create a unique “identity”. Perhaps what I like the most is the movie like projections of past models on the ghost like frame work of the new 991. Chances are you’ve probably seen your fill of silver, black, white, red and grey Porsches. There’s nothing wrong with a Porsche in these standard skins. In fact, they’re all great choices and popular for a reason. However, I’ve always been a fan of the more unique colored Porsches. I like Signal Green, Tangerine Orange, Riviera Blue, etc. I like both bright and muted metallics (just look at my Cayenne or John’s 993) and I even like some of the stranger “paint to sample” examples you see now and then.A reader’s 911 Turbo S Cabriolet in beautiful…

In the name of art, of course. Isn’t that always the case? The ZKM Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany recently closed the doors on their Car Culture exhibition. Part of that exhibition was the piece below built by the German duo of Martin Kaltwasser and Folke Köbberling.Originally constructed for the Craz’s Steirischer Herbst Festival in 2008, the pair created the wooden Cayennes using images from Porsche catalogs as their models. Those same investors also filed an arbitration application against Volkswagen. That hasn't stopped a VW executive from saying that its ownership of Porsche could finally be concluded this year, according to a report in Der Spiegel. The huge demand for this wheel does not stop so we are still importing wheels with UPS to keep us with the demand. But in China, all factories are closed now due to Chinese New Year holidays so that the shipments come to an end for a little while. So the next shipments of this wheel arrive in late February. Several people asked me when we expect to get more units in by sea freight and lower the price. It seems that this won't happen before summer as the upcoming production of the CSW will use up the extra production capacity we are building up now. read more
